Lazio Innova has acknowledged the Immensia project as deserving of public contribution, on the “Beni Culturali e Turismo” tender bid.
The Immensia project provides storytelling as a central element in the implementation of a virtual museum. The aims of the project are:
– explore and test new ways of understanding and enjoying cultural heritage through interdisciplinary (i.e. humanistic, cultural, scientific) collaboration – and smart and non-intrusive, use of virtual reality technologies;
– the definition of criteria and conditions for using different communication formats – voices, texts, videos, 3D animations – to create a narrative that offers a novel and personal experience, through predefined contents that are blended during navigation according to the visitor’s movements and interactions;
– the design and implementation of three virtual scenarios – a museum, an archaeological area, and a hall of the Immensia exhibition area – valuable for their style and attention to detail, which are dynamically reconfigured according to the explicit or implicit behavior of the user;
– the implementation of a service platform for recording, managing and tracking visitors’ movements and behaviors in virtual exhibition spaces. This service features unique features in terms of competitiveness of its range and addresses specific needs related to the recognition of the rights of the heirs of the respective authors’ works of art, arising from the public display of the artworks, both in reality and web browsing mode.
